Evaluation

The Evaluation function of the HolAzAutó mobile application shows the data of the earlier routes (departure and arrival address, average and maximum speed, distance covered, duration); the query can be sectioned on the basis of ignition or standstill, and the result can be exported in several formats (Excel, extended Excel, Hola CSV, Hola PDF, route log PDF).

The other tool for examining the earlier routes is the Evaluation function. You can use this function specifically for reviewing the route information, such as the departure and arrival address, average and maximum speed, distance covered, duration.

Evaluation

You can open the function not only from the menu, but also from the device data sheet in the current locations, by tapping the Evaluation tab.

What concrete business benefit does using it provide?

The HolAzAutó Evaluation function shows the data of the earlier routes (departure and arrival address, average and maximum speed, distance covered, duration) in an organised way, and the result can be exported in Excel, Hola CSV, Hola PDF or route log PDF formats, so the route log and the internal reports can be automated.

What are the drawbacks of not using it?

Without the Evaluation function the data of the earlier routes (addresses, speeds, distance, duration) cannot be produced in an exportable, sectioned query form, so the route log and the control of vehicle use require manual work.

Parameters of the query

When the function loads, the parameterisation screen welcomes you. Before running the query, set the parameters:

  • select a device (if you arrive from the data sheet, this data is filled in automatically)
  • determine the time period (you can also modify the interval with the quick buttons or by setting a custom period)
  • decide whether you want to see the moving sections, the standstills, or both in the result
  • then determine along which criteria the query should cut the sections.

Setting the sectioning

You can basically set the creation of the sections in two ways:

  1. on the basis of the ignition signal, and
  2. taking the standstill into account.

Sectioning settings

In the case of ignition-based sectioning, the query creates a section boundary if the vehicle is not on ignition during the set period. So if the setting is 2 minutes on an ignition basis, the query cuts a section if the vehicle spends at least two minutes without ignition. With ignition-based sectioning the period can be set between 0 and 30 minutes. If the set value is 0 minutes, every ignition switch-off results in an immediate section cut.

Ignition-based sectioningIgnition sectioning example

In the case of standstill-based sectioning, the system does not take the ignition into account, only the time spent in a stationary position. In this case the standstill can be set between 30 seconds and 30 minutes.

Standstill-based sectioningStandstill sectioning example

So if the setting is 2 minutes on a standstill basis, the system cuts the section if the vehicle spent at least two minutes in a stationary position.

If you opened the evaluation from the vehicle data sheet in the current locations, after setting the parameters press the Next button at the bottom of the screen; if you loaded the function from the dashboard, you can also tap the button marked with an arrow in the top right corner of the screen to run the query.

Running the query

Result

The result of the query appears arranged in cards by section. At the top of the screen a search field has its place, with which you can search among the sections by address. Below it the type/name of the vehicle, below that the time interval, then the data concerning the examined period.

Result

Every day is shown separately, separated with headers captioned with the general data of the given day. Within the days, the sections appear with the already mentioned cards, on which the departure and arrival address, the date and times are shown.

Sections by daySection cards

By tapping the card, the journey made also appears on the map, the green buoy marking the departure, the red one the arrival address; by tapping the card again you can also learn more detailed information. With the arrows pointing left and right in the top right corner you can step through the sections. By tapping the Past locations button, the application navigates to the Past locations function.

Section on the map

By tapping the map icon on the right edge of the header, all route sections become visible at once on the map view.

By tapping the label icon in the top right corner, the waiting time after the individual sections appears.

Waiting time

By tapping the buoys, the application opens the card belonging to the buoy. Returning to the list view, you can see the card belonging to the examined section marked in red.

Exporting the data

You can not only display the result of the query on the screen, but also export it. After setting the parameters, tap the button marked with three dots in the top right corner, next to the button starting the query, then choose the Evaluation export option.

Export option

Here you can choose in which format you want to export the data. The following formats are available:

Export types

  • Excel
  • Extended Excel
  • Hola CSV
  • Hola PDF
  • Route log PDF
  • Route log PDF with driver identification

By tapping the selected format you start the evaluation; the progress of the process is shown in percentages.

Export progressExport ready

When the evaluation is ready, you can download the export and, choosing from the options available on your mobile device, you can also open it.

Downloading the exportOpening the file

You can find the downloaded files in the Evaluation submenu of the Document store menu of the dashboard. Here you can delete the downloaded data, but you can also download the exports again at any time within the data retention period.

With the Export of the last 24 hours function you can get a quick export of the evaluation of the given vehicle from the last 24 hours.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

? What does standstill-based sectioning mean in the Evaluation?

: In standstill-based sectioning the HolAzAutó system does not use the ignition signal but the time spent standing still: it creates a new section if the vehicle was standing still for the set time (between 30 seconds and 30 minutes).

? How can I set the parameters of the evaluation in the HolAzAutó mobile application?

: After the Evaluation function loads, select a device, determine the time period, decide whether you want to see the moving sections, the standstills or both, then set the mode of sectioning (ignition or standstill) and tap the button in the top right corner.

? What does ignition-based sectioning mean in the Evaluation?

: With ignition-based sectioning, the HolAzAutó system creates a section boundary if the vehicle is not on ignition during the set period; the period can be set between 0 and 30 minutes, and at 0 minutes every ignition switch-off results in an immediate section cut.

? Which export formats are available in the Evaluation?

: The result of the query can be exported in the following formats: Excel, Extended Excel, Hola CSV, Hola PDF, Route log PDF and Route log PDF with driver identification; the exports can be found in the Evaluation submenu of the Document store.
