Events

The Events function of the HolAzAutó mobile application is available in the Administration menu and shows the events detected by rules and rule chains set up on the web interface — in other words, the situations that matter to you and match the conditions you defined (for example speeding or a sudden fuel level drop). You can search among the events by time interval, vehicle, device, person, rule and priority, and the bell and push notifications immediately signal the important events.

What concrete business benefit does using it provide?

The HolAzAutó Events function shows the events detected by the rules and rule chains set up on the web interface, and the bell and push notifications immediately signal the important events. This way you do not have to check the vehicles continuously: if, for example, a vehicle leaves its designated area or its fuel level suddenly drops, the system immediately alerts you, and you can act in time.

What are the drawbacks of not using it?

Without the Events function you would only learn about the events on the web interface, and users working in the field would not receive timely signals about the important, even high-priority events.

Searching for events

When the Events screen of the HolAzAutó mobile application loads, it shows by default the events that occurred in the current week.

You can set the search conditions among the events on the screen that opens when you tap the magnifying glass icon in the top right corner of the screen, at the right edge of the header.

Starting a search in the header

Except for the company selector, the search conditions are the same as the ones found on the web interface. You can filter among the events along the following conditions:

  • you can search only among the events that have a comment, but you can also find the event you are looking for based on the comment attached to the event,
  • you can set the time interval of the search to the exact minute,
  • you can select the vehicle, device or person involved in the event you are looking for,
  • you can select the events detected by a rule created by you,
  • and you can set the priority of the event you are looking for.

Search conditions

Practical example: if you want to review the events of a single vehicle, select that vehicle in the search — the result list will then show only the events that belong to that vehicle.

After setting the search conditions tap the Search button; the HolAzAutó mobile application then loads the search results.

Bell and push notifications, navigating to the events screen from a notification

When creating the rules that detect events on the web interface, you can also set up bell notifications. These bell notifications appear on the bell icon placed in the header of the HolAzAutó mobile application.

Bell icon for notifications

The number of delivered notifications is shown by the number on the bell, and the priority of the notifications is marked with a colour code: yellow marks priorities from one to three, red marks the elevated priorities four and five. The bell notifications received on the phone are indicated to you by so-called push notifications.

Push notification

By tapping the push notification, the HolAzAutó mobile application opens the events screen and displays the given event. This way you immediately learn about the important events even if you are not looking at the application.

By tapping the bell, the viewer screen of the bell notifications opens, a vertically scrollable list.

List of bell notifications

By tapping the bell notification you can choose from two options:

  • acknowledgement
  • viewing the event

With the acknowledgement you close the notification,

and by tapping the viewing option, the HolAzAutó mobile application opens the events screen and displays the given event.

Viewing the details of an event

By tapping the card displaying the event, the details of the event you selected appear. Whether it is open is indicated by the arrow on its right side: if the arrow points downwards it is not open, if it points upwards it is open.

Event cardEvent details

In the detailed view — the same way as on the web interface — the name and licence plate of the vehicle involved, the time of the event and the address appear; further down you can see the elements of the rule chain that detected the event (in other words, the conditions based on which the system recognised the event).

At the bottom of the card containing the detailed view you can also see the location of the device or vehicle determined when the notification was generated.

Events on the home screen

The three latest events can also be seen immediately on the home screen of the HolAzAutó mobile application; by tapping any of them the app navigates to the given event. This way, after opening the app you can review the latest events without searching through the menus.
